My sister insisted on stopping here on our way from Idaho to California. I don't know why. We ordered from the drive in and waited longer than I wanted to in serious heat. She wanted to eat in the restaurant but, forgot to tell me. We Ordered the buffalo burger, seafood salad, chicken fingers, cream soda, dinner rolls and lots of fries. The food was OK, 2 1/2 star food. The place was packed and obviously loved by many, but, not our family. Sorry. The cream soda was OK, the fries were good. Not better than Carl's JR.

Drive In: Great chicken, fries, beans, slaw, corn, mashed potatoes, the best gravy, and milkshakes. We had a large party of people so we got out of our cars and sat on the picnic tables. Great service, a few in our party didnt love what they ordered but for the most part - ya just cant go wrong with their chicken. Fresh peach milkshake? Yes please! Fresh raspberry shake? Thank you! Delish!

I am so disappointed. :'( I have been eating turkey burgers from the drive-in here for 40 years. My friends and I just ordered and ate some on my advice. Terrible! No resemblance to my favorite meal. What have you changed and why? :'(.

The turkey burger is the way to go! Unless you're feeling chicken the chicken basket is the best west. The drive in is a really fun thing to do as a family or on a date. They are closed on Mondays so plan accordingly. If you just traveling through it's near the interstate and an easy stop.

My boss wanted to go here for lunch today. Really? Really?!? We took the "old highway" out through umpteen speed traps and "Merl's House of Cows" to get to this place. The ranch house looks out of place in this little oasis and the size made me think that many, many people love this place. I am, apparently, the exception. I will hand over my "love of everything Utah" card shortly. I ordered the World-Famous turkey burger and am not sure anyone outside the local zipcode would agree that it is Worldly or Famous. It was dry and unimpressive to the point that I ate half of it and called it quits. The shredded lettuce and flat-bun treatment left it less than appetizing. If there was a picture board, I'd tell you it didn't look like the picture. I moved on to my onion rings. As opposed to the burger, these were AWESOME. My only regret was that a medium order came with 6, count them with me 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 rings. Yup, one for each finger on my left hand and a spare. While I am all about portion control (okay, not really) this seemed a little too controlling. I would have loved more of these. Dipping these rings in the one ounce portion cups WAS challenging and I felt like a chimpanzee trying to get termites out of the hole with a twig. Being a simpleton made this game somewhat enjoyable. The two stars are because 1.) Every restaurant has a bad day, 2.) It was a pretty drive regardless of the speedtraps, and 3.) You have to LOVE a place that raises their food less than 100 yards behind the building.

We love the fried chicken and turkey burgers. A great family owned drive in with quality food and top notch service. We also love the fresh pie and milkshakes. My favorite thing to order is the chicken basket with mashed potatoes and country gravy and a fresh lime soda. I just wish I lived closer to Maddox!

You've got to appreciate a REAL burger. The patties here are made fresh from grain fed beef and are thick and juicy. Their fries have the perfect crunch and you can order homemade sarsaparilla, cream soda and root beer to wash it all down. Their prices are just as cheap as any fast food combo making it an even better stop for lunch or dinner. I wish it wasn't so far away.

Excellent and family owned... I go to this drive in every time I am in Utah. The turkey burgers/turkey steaks are amazing, and if you leave with out getting one of their famous chocolate malts you are missing out. Maddox is one of those places that has not lost any of its small town hospitality after decades of being in business. I feel like places like Maddox are very hard to find in a dominantly corporate society.

We always stop in at the full restaurant...it is great. We were curious about the drive inn and finally tried it this past week. Classic drive inn food, burgers and shakes. The car hops were really quick with getting to us even though the place was packed. The burgers and shakes we had were good. While they were good, they did not seem like anything special. Since I drive through this area once every couple of years I would prefer to skip the drive inn and go to the full restaurant.

The bison burger, the fries, the fry sauce! Top notch. And it's cool to get to sit in your car and they bring the food out. Very retro, Googie rotating sign in front. I got a side of cornbread and roll, but too stuffed to eat them now. Great value at the drive up side.

I love Maddox Drive in. They have fresh, fast, high quality food. They have many different delicious items to chose from. They are very family friendly and have great prices. They have special chicken orders for a whole family. It's nice to be able to enjoy the great taste of Maddix without having to go in and sit down to eat. P.S. They have ridiculously good corn pines and rolls.

Still one if the best burgers in Utah. Fresh, quality burgers, crispy fries and a small town feel that makes you want to come back very single time you are remotely close to this place.

One of my favorite restaurants! The drive in is awesome! You still pull up in your car, and they have car hops who come around and take your order. Once the order is ready, they bring it to your car with your bill. You can take it to go, or you can eat there. If you decide to eat there they have a tray that attaches to your car window to put the stuff on. I decided to get the buffalo burger with French fries. The burger was excellent, they don't ask how you want it done, so if you have a special request to have it made medium rare, you need to tell the. The burger itself was moist and tasted great! Their fries are some of my favorite! They also have fry sauce you can buy as well. I had a Reese's shake as well, this is no Reese's Pieces, it is the peanut butter cups. Very good, and lots of candy pieces in there! They also make their own Root Beer, and Cream Soda. We grabbed a 2 Liter of Root Beer to take home with us. It never lasts long, it is so good, and it is gone very quickly!

If you're in a hurry this is just as good as going to the restaurant. You drive in, they take your order and you can eat it in your car, at their tables, or take it with you. I always get the fried chicken basket. For $7.50 you get 4 pieces of chicken, fries, chicken gravy, cornbread, a dinner roll and raspberry butter. Mmmmm so good!

Although they have added on and updated the building, Maddox's still has the same real, home cooked food and great service as they did 20 years ago when we ate there regularly. We had the fried chicken - crispy and tasty. Lots of food for a decent price.

Once a year they make the fresh pie and we take the long drive up there to get it. It is SO good! Those peaches are so fresh and the pie crust is a bonus on top. We bought a whole 12" pie. Cheaper then buying it by the piece. Went the quick route with the drive inn and it is just as good as the restaurant.

This place really exceeded expectations. It has the feel of an old drive in, complete with servers that come right up to your window. The food is the real draw - many of their most popular items share ingredients with the more expensive and popular Maddox Restaurant next door, including locally grown beef. I ordered (and loved) the hoagie steak sandwich, which includes a patty made of the restaurants NY steak. The bun was soft, the meat moist and delicious. They even have a house sauce made of BBQ and A1 sauce that was delicious! Above all though, the fries were perfect. Seriously some of the best I've had in Utah. Crispy, hot, and thick, even on the cold rainy day that I visited. They make a unique fry sauce that only added to the experience. I'll definitely be back. Also worth noting - service was grand. I love my water cups and without asking they gave me a large cup full of water instead of the small ones that I am used to refilling multiple times. Prices were very reasonable. Can't wait to go back.

Rolls, rolls, rolls! Mmmmmm, mmmmmmm, mmmmmm. Pulled up to the drive-in strictly for rolls & fries. #carblover Got a half dozen rolls and they were warm and delicious and buttery and fluffy. Melt in your mouth delicious. Add some of their raspberry butter and it is beyond! Fries were good - crispy and salty. Fry sauce was not the best. Such a bummer because, when in UT, I say an emphatic yes to fry sauce! Theirs was a little too thin and tangy for my taste. Drive-in is sloooow. Like from the time we parked until we got our food was over 20 mins, which was way too long for just some carbs. It was lunchtime though, so maybe you'd have better luck at an off hour. Employees were friendly and have I mentioned the rolls?!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Maddox drive thru!! Family has a cabin near bear lake and we stop at Maddox every single time! The chicken sandwich is made with REAL chicken, the turkey steak is hard to beat. The mashed potatoes are always good. Don't forget to get a dozen of the handmade rolls for the road! Request the raspberry butter, it is a local delicacy. If you still have room dessert, try ANY of their pies. They are all made fresh and when the peach pie is in season, it is a must! The price is hard to beat and the quality is always good. Expect a wait because this local favorite is ALWAYS packed.

Certainly one of the best burgers I have ever had. Their fries are awesome! And the milkshakes...incredible. Burger meat used to come from their own ranch, not sure if still does. Overall, just a great drive in experience.

Love eating here every chance we get! The half chicken basket is the best! Such a good deal and the best fried/baked chicken ever! The rolls and raspberry cream butter are so yummy! This place does not disappoint, awesome service and great food!
